Intercessions for September 2025
Heavenly Father we thank you for the privilege of being able to openly come to worship you today at Ladock church.
Keep the whole church steadfast in faith, ready to bear the cost of discipleship…. May all Christian people honour one another in love, giving thanks for our redemption.
Lord in thy mercy--- hear our prayer
Look with compassion on our world where many strive to fulfil tasks that are too heavy for them … Give wisdom to those who have power in disputes between nations, that they may count the cost of conflict before it is too late.
We pray for peace in our hostile world, making us to love well and trust fully.
Give peace in uncertainty and strength in whatever we may face.
Lord in thy Mercy…. hear our prayer
Lord, we pray for you to lead and guide us on our pilgrimage with you, guiding our steps daily for its tasks, the world and its needs, and for the Church and her life.
We pray for our Bishops, and synods and all who lead the church. Here at Ladock we give thanks and pray for all those that minister to us day by day.
We ask you to pray for our Nation’s leaders.
We pray for our Sovereign, Charles and Queen Camilla.
We pray wisely for the natural world and earth’s resources that they may be used for the benefit of all.
Lord, we pray that our human loves and loyalties may be blessed but never turn us from our spiritual duty… make us considerate to all who serve our daily needs.
Have mercy on those who are distressed because they wrongly judged consequences of what they desired to do….We pray for all those who have fled from their homes, that they may find support and the way of reconciliation.
As we journey through our lives, may we become true disciples of yours by loving, carrying the cross and following you Lord.
Lord in thy Mercy …..hear our prayer
Heavenly Father, we pray for all those in education, remembering all those new to school, college or university life. Be with them as they meet each new day and we ask you to bless all who have returned to education after the summer break.
The turmoil of our world troubles us greatly and we pray today for the horrors of war between nations.
Natural disasters dominate the news and bring to us the daily suffering of so many. Today we pray for all war torn areas, those affected by natural disasters such as Afghanistan with earth quakes, landslides in Sudan. In our own country let us have compassion on those who have suffered from flooding and severe weather conditions.
We pray for all those caught up in the Street car crash in Lisbon, especially remembering friends and family of those injured or who have perished.
Lord in thy Mercy.. …..hear our prayer
Heavenly Father, we pray for all those in any kind of need at this time.
We remember those who are hungry, those who suffer at the hands of abusers.
We pray for help to alleviate such unnecessary suffering.
In our own parish we pray for all those in need, the elderly, those that suffer from anxiety, those that are in pain, those that suffer from depression and feel unloved and the many that are unwell in our parish.
Heavenly Father we ask you to bless them all.
Lord, let us show some compassion and think of their needs and to not pass by on the other side of the road when someone is in need.
Lord in thy Mercy… Hear our prayer
