Prayers - Sunday 26th April
Jesus says, “I have come so that you might have life – life in all its fullness”.
We pray together to God, who comes to give us life to the full:
We pray for world leaders: that they may do all that they can to make sure all their
people have the chance to live life to the full.
Lord, in your mercy…
We pray for all our brothers and sisters around the world: that together we
may all live lives free from poverty and hunger and be able to make the most of our
talents and gifts to build a better future.
Lord, in your mercy….
We pray for our parish, families and friends: that we may use our gifts and
talents to be the best people we can be and for the good of all.
Lord, in your mercy…
We thank you for the joys our countryside – the hedgerows, flowers and
trees. Show us how to walk gently on the earth and look after it for future
generations.
Lord, in your mercy
God of life in all its fullness, be with us as we try to be the best people we
can be. Inspire us to help one another to use the gifts and talents you have given us,
so that the world may be a better place, reflecting the glory of your Kingdom.
Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour,
Jesus Christ. Amen
