Prayers for Sunday 24th August 2025
We pray for the Church; for Bishops, Priests and leaders and those who serve us here in Ladock. We pray for our congregation and all those who help to look after our beautiful church.
Lord in your Mercy………
We pray for King Charles, our government and world leaders: that they may make wise decisions for the good of all.
We pray for peace in our world and an end to war. Instead of hatred let there be love so we can all live in a world of hope and peace.
Lord in your mercy……..
We pray for our local community
and for all people in their daily life and work.
We pray for the young, especially those who will soon be starting a new term.
We pray for the elderly, for families, and all who are alone. We ask you to protect us and keep us safe.
Lord in your mercy……
We give you thanks for our beautiful countryside and the lovely summer we are having. Grant us wisdom to care for our earth. Help us to act now for the good of future generations and for all your wonderful creatures.
Lord in your mercy…….
Dear God, your son, Jesus Christ, healed all kinds of sickness,
We ask you to bless and heal the sick.
Send down your blessing on all who work to relieve suffering and pain.
Give to all doctors, surgeons, nurses and carers knowledge, skill, sympathy and patience.
Lord in you mercy……….
Father of all, we pray to you for all those whom we love but see no longer.
We pray for those who have recently died and ask you to grant them eternal rest.
We pray for their families and friends that they will find comfort at this difficult time.
Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
