All Saints, Sunday 3rd November
We come before our heavenly Father with praise and thanks that we can bring our intercessions and petitions to Him through the perfect life and sacrifice of his Son Jesus.
Father, we - pray for the world- wide church, for our Bishops, Clergy, Lay Readers and congregations. In particular today we pray for the Rev Caroline - for her licensing on Tuesday and for all who take part in it. We thank God for Linda, Pat and all the team Churchwardens, who have steered the team so well during the interregnum.
On this, All Saints Sunday we remember our own St. Ladoca and all the saints, who, from the time of the Apostles right down through the generations, have passed on the Good News about Jesus, Son of God incarnate, and of our redemption and hope of life eternal through Him
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Heavenly Father, we pray for our precious world. We pray for all who have been affected by extreme weather conditions – we especially think of those who live in the Valencia area in Spain and have suffered so terribly from the floods there. We pray for our leaders and that all those in authority will find determination to fight global warming and that we all as individuals may do our small part in responsible use of the earth’s resources.
We pray for peace – that leaders throughout the world may strive for peace, justice and the common good – with and end to corruption and the lust for power.
As the election in the United States draws near we ask that there will be a clear and fair result and that, whatever the outcome, the chosen leader will use their unique position wisely for the good of the United States and the rest of the world.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Father, we pray for our communities - Ladock and Grampound Road. We ask for your blessings on all who make our village and rural lives what they are. We thank you for neighbourly support and for all who supported Nessa and Graham yesterday.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray to God for all those who particularly need his loving presence at this time – those who are sick in body, mind or spirit. We pray that Shirley will soon be feeling better and back with us in Church
We pray for those who mourn. We continue to pray for the Ball family; and we pray for the Seccombe Stephens family after their loss of Debbie.
Father we remember and ask that you will bless our dear friends who simply can’t get to church any more. We think of Rosie, Maureen and Margaret Cock.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We have remembered All Saints but it also the time of year to remember All Souls, so pray to God for all those who have died – and we name in silence those who were so dear to us.

We ask God’s blessing on the souls of Howard and Debbie.
May they rest in peace. And rise in glory.
Father, we thank you for the privilege and joy of being here together this morning to worship you communally and we look to the week ahead when we meet Caroline and welcome her into our family.
Merciful Father,
Accept our prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ
Amen
