Jacqui and Howard's Intercessions for Sunday 21st November 2021

Intercessions for Sunday 21st November.

The response this week to :

The Lord is our strength,

is: He alone is our salvation.

Lord God Almighty,

We look for you, we long for you,

We watch for you, we wait for you,

Give us wisdom to know you and courage to serve you,

whom to serve is perfect freedom.

Lord, we ask you to give strength to all who are weary;

strengthen our faith in times of trouble,

when there are wars and rumours of wars,

when there is famine and earthquake.

May we continue to put our trust in you

and to work for the coming of your kingdom.

We pray for areas where churches are destroyed, vandalised or robbed, where priests and pastors are at risk.

The Lord is our strength.

He alone is our salvation.

Lord, guide all who deal with world crisis,

protect the peace- keepers and maintain the law;

let all who work for justice and freedom know your care.

Give wisdom to the work of the United Nations, the World Health Organisation and the Save the Children Fund.

The Lord is our strength.

He alone is our salvation.

We pray for homes where it is hard to be a Christian, where there is enmity, strife and violence,

for homes where there is neglect and abuse.

We give thanks for all agencies and people that support families in their needs.

We pray for our own homes and loved ones.

The Lord is our strength.

He alone is our salvation.

We pray for all who are victims of war, earthquake, floods, famine, poverty,

injustice and tyranny; for the homeless and the unemployed.

We remember all who have lost vision and hope,

We pray for all who are ill at home or in hospital,

especially Joy Saunders, Tom Henson in rehab following a spinal injury and the family of Judy , Rosie's niece.

The Lord is our strength.

He alone is our salvation.

We give thanks for the coming of your kingdom:

love will triumph over hatred, war will be no more.

We pray for all who have entered into the fullness of your glory

and for all our loved ones departed.

The Lord is our strength.

He alone is our salvation.

Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your son our saviour Jesus Christ.

Amen
