Ladock Church Notices for 30 November,
Advent Sunday
There is no service at Ladock this Sunday. Instead, there will be a Team ‘Together@10’ service of Holy Communion (BCP) at St Crida, commencing at 10.00 am. The Team choir will be singing.
The calendar for the week ahead is as follows:
Monday 1 December: School Assembly, 2.30 pm
Tuesday 2 December: Morning Prayer, 9.00 am
Wednesday 3 December:
Thursday 4 December:
Friday 5 December: School Assembly 2.30 pm; choir practice 4.00 pm
Saturday 6 December: Christmas Coffee Morning in the Hall, 10.00 – 12.00 (see poster)
Sunday 7 December: Holy Communion 11.00 am, with choir, to be taken by Reverend Linda.
The Church is open for private prayer every day between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm
The Christmas Tree Festival
This will be a great opportunity to see a wealth of trees imaginatively decorated ‘Through the Ages’ by the various village and church groups in the benefice.
Come and view them between 10am and 4pm from
14th to 21st December. Entry is free though
donations, (this year for the Bells Appeal) are always
welcome. Refreshments will be available; you may
leave a comment - including voting for your favourite
tree - and also share a thought, wish or prayer for
loved ones on our Prayer Tree. There will be friendly
faces to welcome you, serve tea and answer any
questions. If you want to know more now, or take part either decorating a tree or doing a two hour stint welcoming people, please contact Jo Nicolle.

Christmas Raffle
Once again, we are holding a raffle at the Christmas Carol Service on 21st December. All proceeds will go to St Petroc’s. First prize will be a Christmas hamper and any contributions for this, however small, would be very welcome - mince pies, savoury or sweet biscuits, chocolates, wine, snacks, Christmas pudding etc! There will be a few other prizes as well, including a voucher for Treway Farm. Thank you very much in advance. Bells News
The bells will return during the week beginning 15 December but please note that the rededication service planned for 17 January has been postponed until 29 March (3.30 pm), as Bishop David has to attend Bishop Hugh’s installation service at Worcester Cathedral, now scheduled for the same day. We will be holding an informal open afternoon for donors, well-wishers and locals on the afternoon of 17 January instead. Provisional time 17.00 – 18.30. Further details to follow.
